Jaracus Copes

Jaracus Copes is an entrepreneur who helps youth excel academically, socially and emotionally. In 2006 he incorporated New Destiny, LLC in the state of Maryland with the mission to provide youth with the skills and environment that promote positive youth development and leadership.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, a Master’s of Science in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University, and a Master’s of Science in Education with a concentration in Educational Studies with emphasis in out of school time learning and school, family, and community collaboration from The Johns Hopkins University.

Jaracus has received numerous awards and recognition for his work. Most recently he was awarded the 2008 Maryland Education Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Business Monthly, Entrepreneur Quarterly and Star Hotels; and the Harold C. Howard Servant-Leader Award by Eastern University.

Today, Jaracus offers a wide range of services: in-home tutoring, success coaching, out of school time programs, consulting, seminars and keynote speeches.
